TiVo Names Jeff Klugman Senior Vice President and General Manager, Service Provider Division

ALVISO, Calif., July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ:TIVO) announced today that Jeff Klugman has been promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Company's newly created Service Provider Division. The Service Provider Division is responsible for working with cable, satellite and other service providers to achieve mass deployment of the TiVo service worldwide.

In his new role, Klugman will oversee the sales, marketing, engineering, and qualification activities necessary to support mass deployment by TiVo's service provider customers including Comcast and DIRECTV.

Klugman brings more than 20 years of marketing, engineering and general management experience to this new role. Prior to this position, he was responsible for technology licensing, product marketing, manufacturing, customer support and service operations. Before joining TiVo, Klugman was CEO of PointsBeyond, an Internet portal focused on the outdoor adventure market. Prior to leading PointsBeyond, Klugman was an executive for Quantum Corporation. While at Quantum, he founded the Consumer Electronics Business Unit, was Vice President for Marketing and Business Development, and built the hard-drive industry's first business with consumer electronics companies.

A New Jersey native, Klugman earned a BS degree in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds an MBA from Stanford University.
