About the Artists

J Records' Gavin DeGraw broke out in 2003 when his hit "I Don't Want to Be" was featured as the theme son for the WB's One Tree Hill. Since then, DeGraw's debut album, Chariot, has been holding steady on the Billboard charts. Kent-born British soul singer Joss Stone hit No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with her 2004 release, Mind, Body & Soul -- a feat achieved at the young age of 18. Canadian punk rockers Simple Plan debuted in 1997 and most recently went platinum in the U.S. with Still Not Getting Any, the follow-up to the band's 2002 No Pads, No Helmets ... Just Balls multi-platinum release. Fo' Shizzle, it's Mr. Dizzle: Snoop Dogg, the West Coast rapper who exploded onto the scene with Dr. Dre's and his 1992 smash The Chronic, has toured the world and sold millions of records on his own, most recently scoring a No. 1 U.S. hit with "Drop It Like It's Hot." Frontmen and brothers Joel and Benji Madded started Good Charlotte in 1996 and began scoring major mainstream success with the release of their 2000 self-entitled Epic release, Good Charlotte. A South Side Chicago native, Common released his first album in 1997 and is credited with keeping jazz-rap alive, differentiating himself at a time when gangsta-style music dominated the scene. Dubbed the "First Lady of Crunk" by wildman and producer Lil Jon, Ciara has loaned her voice to such hits as "Goodies" and Petey Pablo's "Freek-a-Leek." Formed in 1993 by vocalist/guitarist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy and drummer Jeremiah Green, Modest Mouse started their ascent to Top 40 recognition with 2004's Good News for People Who Love Bad News. Making her ascent to fame in 2002, Kelly Clarkson catapulted to mega-star status, recording two top-selling albums including Breakaway and her current No. 1 collection, Thankful.
