Starz Entertainment Group Promotes English to Vice President, Marketing Communications

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Entertainment Group LLC (SEG) announced today the promotion of Gery English to vice president, marketing communications. English works out of the corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colo., and reports to Jerry Maglio, the executive vice president, marketing.

Gery English began in 2004 as the senior director, brand strategy and was quickly promoted to executive director, marketing communications. While in this position English oversaw the development of new brands, channel reconfigurations, and was responsible for improving the effectiveness of SEG's direct response affiliate marketing. His most recent promotion to vice president, marketing communications brings a new set of responsibilities that will include leading and overseeing the strategy and execution of SEG's marketing communications efforts.

English brings over 20 years of brand development and experience in managing fully-integrated campaigns for clients including Target, Apple Computer, Chrysler and TED, United Airline's new low-cost operation. He has worked for well-respected advertising agencies including Martin Williams, Rapp Collins and McClain Finlon prior to joining Starz.

English graduated with a B.S. degree from Arizona State University and is currently a member of The Direct Marketing Association (DMA).
