Sinclair Names William Meyl General Manager of WGGB-TV in Springfield, Massachusetts

BALTIMORE, July 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:SBGI) announced that William Meyl has been named General Manager for WGGB-TV (ABC 40) in Springfield, Massachusetts. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair's television group.

In making the announcement, Mr. Marks said, "Will brings 30 years of television broadcast experience to Sinclair having worked with a variety of affiliations in different market sizes. We look forward to capitalizing on his strong sales background and station management skills at WGGB-TV."

Mr. Meyl most recently served as General Manager for KCAU-TV in Sioux City, IA. From 2002 until 2004, he served as General Sales Manager of KHGI-TV and KTVG-TV in Lincoln, NE. Prior to that, he served as General Sales Manager for WUVP-TV in Philadelphia, PA, and from 1999 to 2001 as the Northeast Regional Vice President/General Manager for Paxson Communications. Mr. Meyl's 30 years of broadcast experience includes 18 years in his hometown of Albany, NY where he spent 7 years as Vice President and General Manager of WXXA-TV and 6 years in Boston where he was Vice President and General Manager of WABU-TV before joining Paxson. Mr. Meyl attended Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
