QVC, Inc. Announces New Strategic Alignment Under Leadership of Randy Ronning

WEST CHESTER, Pa., July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading electronic retailer, QVC, Inc., announced today a new leadership strategy to solidify further the company's role as the largest, most successful multi-channel retailer.

Effective immediately, QVC and QVC.com will combine merchandising initiatives under the leadership of Executive Vice President, Randy Ronning. Under this new structure, Ronning will assume the title of Chief Merchandising Officer. As such, he will be responsible for Merchandising, Brand Development and Internet. Ronning will continue to report to Darlene Daggett, President of U.S. Commerce.

Under Ronning's leadership, QVC.com has received numerous accolades for the site's customer satisfaction, including the recent achievement of a ForeSee Results and FGI Research survey that placed QVC.com in the number one spot of "standout" multi-channel web site performers with regard to satisfying site visitors.

Ronning joined QVC in January 2001 as Executive Vice President. Prior to that, he spent 30 years with JCPenney where he held numerous leadership positions including President of its Catalog and Internet divisions. Previous assignments at JCPenney include President of Home and Leisure; President of International; Associate Director of Merchandise; and Vice President and Director of Men's Apparel, Accessories and Footwear. Forbes magazine credited Ronning with developing and positioning JCPenney as a trendsetter on the Internet.
