Neil Sedaka Debuts on QVC

WEST CHESTER, Pa., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Legendary songwriter/musician Neil Sedaka makes his QVC debut on Monday, July 25 on the leading electronic retailer's "Christmas in July" broadcast. Sedaka will appear in the "Holiday Home" show at 9:00 AM (ET) to offer QVC customers his first-ever holiday album consisting of all original material entitled "The Miracle of Christmas." This CD will be specially packaged for QVC with a yet-to-be-recorded album of holiday favorites, which will offer QVC viewers an opportunity to be part of the song selection process.

Viewers will have the chance to select five of the 10 holiday songs for the second CD through a voting process when they visit http://www.qvc.com/. Voting begins on July 25, 2005 at 12:00 AM (ET) and ends on August 15, 2005 at 12:00 AM (ET). Sedaka will then record the selections to complete the album.

"Neil is a true classic, having recorded songs that have become a part of people's lives and that take listeners back to special moments," said Randy Ronning, chief merchandising officer for QVC. "Launching Neil's first holiday CD on QVC, while inviting our viewers to be such an integral part of his recording process, is an exciting opportunity."

Neil Sedaka's The Miracle of Christmas Two CD Set (QVC item #E0430) will be placed on advance order, to be shipped when the second CD is complete at the end of October. Sedaka will be returning to QVC on October 25 to perform and to unveil the winning song selections.

"I've always loved Christmastime and the spirit of the season," said Sedaka. "I listened to all the famous holiday songs through the years on the radio, starting with Irving Berlin's wonderful 'White Christmas' when I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn. Being a songwriter for more than 50 years, I wanted to try my hand at writing all new holiday songs. I've done a collection of 12 songs that I'm very proud of; they express my personal feelings of this fantastic time of year. I am so happy to unveil my first holiday album on QVC and hope the viewers will feel the same emotion that I had when they listen to them."

Neil Sedaka's The Miracle of Christmas Two CD Set will be available through QVC at 800.345.1515 or http://www.qvc.com/ beginning July 25.
