Hearst-Argyle CEO to Share Broadcast Television Perspective at TELECOM '05

WASHINGTON, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the United States Telecom Association (USTelecom), the owner of TELECOM '05, announced that one of the leading voices for the broadcasting industry will address attendees at the communications industry's fastest-growing trade show this October in Las Vegas. David J. Barrett, the President and CEO of Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc., will share his perspectives on the future for communications with leading telecom executives attending TELECOM '05 -- a preview of what's next for the telecom industry.

The show will be held in Las Vegas, October 23 - 27, 2005.

Prior to the 1997 combination of Hearst Broadcasting and Argyle Television to form Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc., Barrett was a Vice President of The Hearst Corporation and Deputy General Manager of Broadcasting, with operating oversight for the company's television and radio stations. He joined Hearst in 1984 as General Manager of its Baltimore radio station.
