The series features a mismatch made in animation heaven with "Ren," a temperamental and headstrong Chihuahua, and "Stimpy," a loyal and trusting cat. The two find themselves in impossible situations and exhibit often gross and shocking behavior. Together, they get up to all sorts of wacky antics, from going into space to acting as door-to-door rubber nipples salesmen. Although it launched on Nickelodeon in 1991, the show's main audience was college and university students, who quickly tapped into its subversive nature and excellent characterization. The Ren & Stimpy Show earned an Emmy nomination in 1993. Creator John Kricfalusi (John K.) provided the voice for "Ren Hoek" (1991-1993), "Mr. Horse" (1991-1993) as well as other characters. Billy West provided the voices for Stimpson J. "Stimpy" Cat (1991-1996), "Ren Hoek" (1992-1996), "Mr. Horse" (1992-1996), "Sven Hoek" (1992), "hey, it's That Guy" (1991-1995), "Mr. Pipe" (1991-1993) and others.
The Ren & Stimpy: Seasons Three and a Halfish DVD is a three-disc boxed set featuring all the classic episodes from the Third (and half of the fourth) seasons of Ren & Stimpy. In addition to 17 historical cartoons, the DVD includes audio commentary from John K. and the Spumco Animation team. For the first time ever, viewers will be able to learn what actually happened to "Ren & Stimpy" both before and after John K's infamous departure. And if that isn't enough, the DVD also features in-character commentary from "Ren & Stimpy" themselves, as Stimpson J. Cat and Ren Hoek provide their own unique brand of twisted insight on their cartoon adventures.
The following is the schedule for The Ren & Stimpy marathon (all times ET/PT):
