Scripps To Report Second Quarter Results; Webcast of Conference Call Available

CINCINNATI, June 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The E. W. Scripps Company (NYSE:SSP) will report second quarter 2005 operating results before trading on the New York Stock Exchange begins Tuesday, July 19. A telephone conference call with members of the company's senior management team will follow at 11 a.m. EDT.

Scripps will offer a live Webcast of the conference call. To access the Webcast, visit http://www.scripps.com/ and follow the "Live Webcast" link at the top of the page. Listeners need Windows Media Player to access the call online.
