Nextel and Motorola Launch Conexion Musical Concerts With Award-Winning Artists Showcasing the Rhythms of Salsa and Latin Pop
Victor Manuelle, Reyli and Kalimba to Headline in New York, Miami and Los Angeles; One-of-a-Kind Artist Compilation CDs and Ring Tones Available from Nextel Only
RESTON, Va. and PLANTATION, Fla., June 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nextel Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:NXTL) and Motorola (NYSE:MOT) today announced the launch of the first-ever Conexion Musical concert tour featuring Victor Manuelle, Reyli and Kalimba. Created as a program to showcase the effusive beats of Latin music, Conexion Musical will unite artists with fans during intimate performances at some of the hottest venues in New York, Miami and Los Angeles in July.
Conexion Musical was designed to bring together Nextel's growing Hispanic customer base and music, including additional elements, such as custom Conexion Musical wallpaper and ring tones all focused on delivering the sights and sounds of their favorite artists.

Selected as one of the 50 Most Beautiful Latinos by People in Espanol Magazine, Puerto Rican artist Manuelle stands as an iconic figure in the landscape of contemporary Salsa with hits like "Tengo Ganas," "Si Me Preguntan," and "Yo Te Dare." Manuelle is on the verge of becoming an international star and one of the most important artists of his generation. His career has spanned 11 years, including multi-platinum albums, numerous Grammy nominations and a recent collaboration with Emilio Estefan on Manuelle's latest Travesia album.

Tickets are limited in supply and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The performances will take place at exclusive venues located in Los Angeles (July 25), New York (July 27), and Miami (July 28), as well as other cities that will be announced in the near future
