Sportsbook.com offers Barry Bonds' 700th Home Run Ball to Cooperstown
Sportsbook.com has purchased Barry Bonds' 700th home run baseball for 85-thousand dollars through a public auction held by Sotheby's in New York. The world's largest sportsbook and online casino intends to offer the ball to baseball's Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
Sportsbook.com has notified the Hall of Fame of its intentions, and hopes to work with Cooperstown to schedule an official presentation later this year. In the meantime, the ball will be taken on a tour across major cities in the United States, where fans will have a chance to see that ball, and have their photo taken with it.
Details of the tour, including cities, dates and events will be announced within the next couple of weeks.

Goodyear Highway Hero Searches for Bob Strickland Family
A Texas truck driver -- Goodyear's North American Highway Hero -- is searching for the family whose lives he saved.
Rick Dent, of Diana, Texas, and a driver for Groendyke Transport, is looking for Bob Strickland and his children, Megan and Paul. Formerly of Louisiana, the Stricklands are believed to have moved to Georgia.
On July 14, 2004, Strickland's car swerved to miss a deer and landed in a six-foot-deep water-filled ditch teeming with snakes, along U-S Highway 84 near Jena, Louisiana. Dent swam to the sinking car and retrieved a screaming Megan, her brother Paul and father Bob.
Shortly afterward, Strickland wrote to Groendyke Transport to thank Dent for saving his family's lives. But that was the last anyone heard from the Louisiana man. Groendyke Transport officials said they've since tried to find Bob Strickland.
