LOS ANGELES, June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- For many years, Clive Davis has been the record industry's most innovative, outspoken and influential executive. He has truly done it all: from heading Columbia Records, founding Arista Records and then J Records, serving as Chairman/CEO of the RCA Music Group and then Chairman of BMG. Along the way, he has acted as a champion, critic and the most visible and respected spokesman for the music business.

Known as "The Man with the Golden Ear," this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee launched the careers of superstars such as Janis Joplin, Bruce Springsteen, Earth Wind & Fire, Aerosmith, Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys and Maroon 5 ... and that's just to name a few! He has the rare distinction of leaving his indelible mark on almost every genre of music, from rock to pop to R&B and rap.

In this extraordinary, one-time only event, you'll get the inside scoop on what it takes to make it in music, including:

- How to make the right career choices - How to produce a commercial sound while staying true to your music - What to "watch out for" in a hotly competitive industry - How to market your music successfully - Secrets that will help you launch a successful career - The many misconceptions about the music world - Where the industry is headed

"This class was phenomenal! Clive Davis inspired me to achieve my dreams as an entertainer. I now know that I can make it in the music industry. Thank you!" -- Robert, New York

And of course, Clive will talk about his amazing career, how he discovers unknown talent, how he climbed to the top, how he decides who to sign and who to drop, and much more. Whether you're a budding record impresario or a star-in-the-making, anyone pursuing a career in music will benefit from Clive Davis's wisdom and experience. If music is your passion ... if you want to be discovered ... this is one evening you do NOT want to miss. Register early! Seating is limited and this will sell out!

Clive Davis has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (at the Grammy Awards), and was the first active Record Company President to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has twice been named Humanitarian of the Year by the T.J. Martell Foundation, and in 1998, Clive Davis was bestowed a Humanitarian Award from the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AmFAR). Davis also endows The Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts -- the first four-year undergraduate degree program of its kind.

The event will take place on Wednesday, June 8th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. in West Los Angeles. Mr. Davis will be available for interviews. Press check-in begins at 6:15 pm.
