Kihn, who is scheduled to appear on the NBC hit reality TV show "Hit Me Baby One More Time," is one of the Bay Area's most popular morning FM radio hosts and bona fide '80s icon whose Top 40 hits include "Jeopardy" and "The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em)." He is making his sixth consecutive appearance at the Boardwalk.

"Greg is one of those performers that our audiences really connect to through his local radio program and they want to see him year after year," said Boardwalk Promotions Director Paul B. Hammond. "Who better to kick-off the series than someone with Greg's energy and who creates that kind of demand?"

Kihn and his band will perform two, free, 45-minute shows at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk's beach bandstand while audiences bask in the sun and music or dance away the summer evening.

Both shows include an American Sign Language Interpreter and special seating with unobstructed views of the stage for the deaf and hard of hearing is available. Special seating for the mobility impaired is also available.

The Boardwalk's concert series continues on Friday nights from June 24 through September 2. Upcoming free shows include the Classic Rock All Stars and Colin Hay of Men at Work. For the complete schedule, visit our web site at www.beachboardwalk.com.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is California's only seaside amusement park offering both modern thrill rides and historic attractions. Located at 400 Beach Street in Santa Cruz, the park features rides, games, restaurants, and free summer beach concerts.
