2005 BET AWARDS Televises 'Live' On June 28

Celebrities, Athletes, Music's Hottest Artists and Entertainment's Biggest

Stars to Appear at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre in BET's Biggest Award Show of

the Year

WHAT: BET will again honor superlative achievement in music, sports and film with a star-studded "live" telecast of the 2005 BET AWARDS. The show, expanded to a three and a half hour telecast, promises to be "off the meter" with exciting on-stage performances and stirring tributes by the hottest names in entertainment at the prestigious Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

Music superstars Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, The Game, and Missy Elliot will blaze the stage with red-hot performances along with hip hop diva Ciara, "Dirty South" rapper T.I., R&B newcomer John Legend, soulful crooner Toni Braxton, R&B first lady Faith Evans, former B2K phenom Omarion and music icon Stevie Wonder, as well as other surprise guests. Celebrities confirmed to appear or present awards include Tom Cruise, Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, The Rock, Alicia Keys, Nelly, Gabrielle Union, the Wu-Tang Clan, Steve Harvey, Vivica A. Fox, Anthony Anderson, Mario, Sheila E., Eva Pigford, and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Gladys Knight.
