Detroit Native Kid Rock to Perform Prior to Game 5

- ABC To Televise Performance on Sunday, June 19 With Coverage Beginning at 8:30 PM (ET)-

DETROIT, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroit native and devoted Pistons fan Kid Rock will perform "America the Beautiful" at the Palace of Auburn Hills prior to Game 5 of The Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, June 19. ABC will televise his performance in the U.S. and to more than 205 countries. Coverage will begin at 8:30 p.m. (ET).

The series is tied at 2-2.

Kid Rock became a household name when his 1998 album DEVIL WITHOUT A CAUSE produced such hits as "Bawitdaba," "Cowboy" and "Only God Knows Why." His albums have sold over 20 million copies in the U.S., including his most recent platinum album, KID ROCK, which spawned his most successful tour to date - selling more than 1,000,000 concert tickets. Rock also continues to support troops overseas and at home with USO visits and performances.

The Finals tipped off June 9 with the teams competing for the coveted Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy. ABC Sports is the exclusive home of The Finals with Emmy Award-winning broadcasting Legend Al Michaels and basketball Hall of Famer Hubie Brown calling the action. The Finals are televised in 205 countries in 45 languages with the schedule continuing as follows: GAME 4 - Thursday, June 16 @ 8:30 p.m. (ET); GAME 5 - Sunday, June 19 @ 8:30 p.m. (ET); GAME 6* - Tuesday, June 21 @ 8:30 p.m. (ET) - *If Necessary; GAME 7* - Thursday, June 23 @ 8:30 p.m. (ET) - *If Necessary.
