Advocacy Seeking Deserving Vision Patients for TV Show

Advocacy Seeking Deserving Vision Patients for TV Show

SACRAMENTO, Calif., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The advocacy group USAEyes.org is seeking patients who required life-changing vision restoration surgery that is either not available in their community or not affordable. Selected patients will participate in the new NBC prime-time television show "Three Wishes," hosted by Grammy winning recording artist Amy Grant.

"USAEyes.org is working with the show's production company to help locate deserving patients," says Glenn Hagele, Executive Director of the nonprofit organization. "There appears to be no limit to what the show will do to make the wish of restored vision come true, including transportation for patient and family, medical costs, and all rehabilitation needs. The range is from something as common as Lasik to the newest technique or technology."

Anyone who has a vision-threatening problem that may be able to be corrected is encouraged to visit www.USAEyes.org and request consideration for the show, or call 800-USA-EYES.

USAEyes.org is operated by the Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance, a nonprofit nongovernmental patient advocacy organization, which provides the public detailed refractive surgery information and certifies surgeons.
