"EVTV is not just another travel show," said Peter Menges, senior vice president, North America Marketing, RCI, "but a series that will educate consumers about the incredible and broad range of vacations that can be found in destinations that many people might never have considered, as well as the places people can't wait to visit again."
The first half-hour program will focus on Family Fun in Central Florida showcasing lots of unique experiences including a visit to the Exploration Five Children's Museum where children can fly a mock space ship, appear on a TV-news station and shop in a child size grocery store.
"Showing a destination from a truly different perspective is key to every episode produced on EVTV," Menges said. The first program will also include ways to enjoy Florida's wildlife from an airboat, a visit to the Titanic Museum and a swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove. As for places to stay, EVTV will showcase condo resorts that offer the very best amenities, spacious surroundings and services preferred by many of today's vacationing consumers.
All episodes will air nationally on WE (Women's Entertainment) Cable Network starting Saturday, May 7, 9:30 a.m. EDT, check local listing elsewhere. In addition to Family Fun in Florida, other themes and destinations to be featured include Exotic Adventures in Mexico (May 14), Outdoor Adventures in British Columbia (May 21), Fun and Games in Las Vegas (May 28), Hidden Gems in Charleston, S.C. and Big Cedar, Mo. (June 4) and Hawaiian Paradise in Kauai (June 11).
Further, consumers will be introduced to rciendlessvacations.com as the perfect place to find out the value and benefits of vacation ownership. The RCI Web site is designed to help consumers, who may or may not be familiar with timeshare, learn more about vacation ownership and if the product is right for them.
The travel series is part of RCI's effort to drive vacation ownership through innovative marketing and product development. "Research shows that many people who have attended a timeshare presentation are interested in the product, but were not ready to make a purchase at the time of the resort tour without further information. EVTV will reach consumers and present the lifestyle accessible to a timeshare owner through the images of some of the top destinations and resorts available," Menges said.
The travel episodes were produced by LenzWorks productions headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
