'The Muppets' Wizard Of Oz' Makes Its Worldwide Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in the Big Apple!

Grammy Award-Winner Ashanti Joins Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and the Rest of

the Muppets Gang to Attend the Star-Studded Red Carpet Festivities

WHAT: The world famous Muppets franchise that The Walt Disney Company has given its magically powerful touch to is making a grand re-entrance on the red carpet at the world famous Tribeca Film Festival with their new film "The Muppets' Wizard of Oz." The Muppets will be live on the carpet along side A-list talent including Robert DeNiro, Uma Thurman, James Gandolfini, Star Jones and more.

In addition, guests and Muppets fans will have a chance to see a 61-foot Kermit the Frog inflatable balloon gracing the top of the Tribeca Performing Arts Center! In an unprecedented move, the famous Kermit balloon from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is being brought out of storage and inflated -- for the first time ever -- outside of the parade for a one day only appearance to celebrate the Muppets' big day.

Following the "The Muppets' Wizard of Oz" premiere, will be a star-studded after party (presented by Pizza Hut) held at the exclusive new night club PM Lounge in the heart of the terminally trendy Meatpacking District. The PM Lounge is by former Donna Karan designer Robert McKinley. For the evening, the PM Lounge will be turned emerald green and the dance floor promises to be just as colorful. Remember what happens in Oz stays in Oz or, in this case, the lower Westside version of an Emerald City.
