Legendary Sibling Rockers' Hit Single 'Help Somebody' Continues to Rocket Up Country Singles Charts
NEW YORK, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant are gearing up for the release of their first full-blown country record Get Right With The Man (out May 10th on Columbia Nashville). "People ask us if we've gone country, I tell 'em, 'We ain't gone country, we were born country,'" Johnny explains. These sibling members of Southern Rock's first family make zero compromises on Get Right With The Man. Still present are the searing guitars, pounding beats, prideful themes, and gritty vocals that have become the Van Zant brothers' trademark for thousands of concerts, millions of records sold and countless hits as leaders of Lynyrd Skynyrd (Johnny) and 38 Special (Donnie).
The first single "Help Somebody" continues to heat up on radio stations across the country moving to #31 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart this week and #30 on the Radio and Records chart. The brothers made an appearance at the CMT Music Awards on April 11th and introduced the world premiere of their video on CMT's Top 20 Countdown on April 14th. Next up for Van Zant is a hometown in-store CD signing on May 13th in Jacksonville, FL at Wal-Mart SuperCenter, Orange Park.
