Hollywood Award-Winning Actor Clifton Powell To Star In Upcoming Film - Press Conference Held In Downtown Detroit
Film Project Plays Integral Roles In 'Motown To Movietown' Initiative; Projected Economy Boost For Michigan - Filming To Start Summer 2005
DETROIT, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The award-winning actor, Clifton Powell, will play the leading role in the upcoming independent film, Blackjack. Powell is an NAACP Image Award-winning actor most recently nominated for multiple awards in the critically acclaimed movie Ray. A press conference will be held to announce the upcoming film and the 'Motown to Movietown' initiatives, which will impact the metro Detroit communities. The press conference will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. EDT at The Renaissance Club located at 200 Renaissance Center, Suite 3600 in Detroit, Michigan.

The film Blackjack expects to be among the list of Michigan's successful films. "We want to bring positive notoriety back to the city of Detroit.
