One-of-a-Kind Film Festival From Giffoni, Italy Will Feature Over 20 Films

Children/Youth to be the Festival's Only Judges and Jury

Approximately 100 kids from 13 countries and the greater Los Angeles area

WHAT:

The U.S. debut in association with the 35 year old Giffoni Film Festival -- A one-of-a-kind film festival for kids/teens 9-17 where they are also the judges and jury. The international contingency of kids will spend the week getting an insider's view of Hollywood as well as screening age appropriate films and shorts from around the world. Giffoni Hollywood is being hosted by Academy Award winner Jon Voight along with Steven Paul, Larry Bond and Jennifer Bond, and kicks off with a welcome dinner presented by Jada and Will Smith on Wednesday, April 27th, 2005.

Giffoni Hollywood brings to Los Angeles the spirit and enterprise of the original Italian-based festival, while also creating a unique experience for the next generation of filmmakers that could only be presented in the heart of Hollywood. The mission statement for Giffoni Hollywood is to unite, inspire and educate children and teens ages 9-17 through the cinematic experience.
