Xtend Networks Panelists to Address Bandwidth, Commercial Services During NCTA Sessions
ATLANTA, Ga., March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Xtend Networks(TM), a Vyyo(R) company (NASDAQ:VYYO) that provides advanced broadband solutions for the cable TV industry, will address two of the industry's most heavily discussed subjects -- future bandwidth availability and commercial services -- at the NCTA National Show next month in San Francisco.
Xtend will demonstrate its solutions for the delivery of symmetrical, voicegrade T1 (1.544 megabits per second) and 3 GHZ services over hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) network architectures at Booth 5782 during the show, running April 3-5 at the Moscone Convention Center. In addition, Xtend executives will speak on the issues as part of two scheduled management and technical sessions:
-- Brent Levetan, vice president, business development for Xtend, will be a panelist on "Serious Business: Accelerating B2B Migration" on Monday, April 4, from 2:00-3:15 p.m. The panel will discuss the business-market opportunities that are producing incremental customer growth and changing the perception of what cable does.
-- David Large, a member of Xtend's Technical Advisory Board, will present a paper co-authored with Xtend vice president Ron Shani as part of a panel entitled "Moore on Shannon: Exploring Cable's Theoretical Limits." The panel will be held from 2:00-3:15 on Monday, April 4, in Room 309.
Xtend's T1 solution currently is being trialed by cable operators in multiple markets in the southeastern United States. Xtend's solution for the delivery of 3 GHz of bandwidth over 860 MHz coaxial plant already has been approved by Cox Communications for deployment to commercial customers.

Safe Harbor Statement
Statements made in this press release and at the show relating to the future, including those related to the potential for Xtend's systems to enable the cable industry to economically enhance their networks, are forward-looking statements within the meaning of the "safe harbor" provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. Because these forward-looking statements involve risks and uncertainties, there are important factors that could cause our actual results to differ materially from those in the forward-looking statements. These factors include, without limitation, the current limited visibility available in the telecommunications and broadband access equipment markets; whether Xtend will be able to move from the development stage to deployment and establish commercial relationships with the cable system operators; whether the cable industry will be willing and able to substantially increase the available bandwidth on their networks and do so using Xtend's alternative technology solution; and other risks set forth in Vyyo's annual report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2004, and in other periodic reports filed by Vyyo with the Securities and Exchange Commission from time to time.
