THX Certified Cinema Program Adds 165 New Screens

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. and LAS VEGAS, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- THX Ltd., the leading provider of technologies, certification programs and quality assurance standards for the entertainment industry, is pleased to announce that 47 cinemas worldwide, totaling 165 screens, have achieved THX Cinema Certification since January 2004. The list includes some of the world's premiere venues, ranging from the ten-screen Multimedios Cinemas in San Pedro Graza Garcia, Mexico to the recently completed eight-screen Heavenly Village Cinema in South Lake Tahoe. In 2005, THX is looking forward to a number of new cinema openings, including two All-THX Certified Century Theatres in Las Vegas.
