AVP Nissan Series Signs First-Ever Agreement to Air Semi-Finals on OLN
~ Cable Network to Televise One Men's/Women's Semifinal Per Tournament ~
LOS ANGELES, March 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, Inc. ("AVP"), a wholly owned subsidiary of AVP, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ONET) and OLN(R) jointly announced an agreement today that will give the cable network the exclusive rights to televise one men's semifinal and one women's semifinal at each of the 14 tournaments throughout the 2005 season. This is the first time that the AVP Nissan Series semifinal matches will be shown on television.
The cable network will provide a minimum 28 hours of coverage throughout the season and is scheduled to air the matches on the same-day or same-week delayed basis. It is the only network that will have a presence at all 14 of the AVP Nissan Series tour stops.
In addition to the semifinals, OLN will also feature highlights from the AVP Nissan Series finals in Summer Revolution, a new prime time program that will air weekly.
Finals for the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball tour will continue to air on NBC Sports and Fox Sports Net.
