SIIA Announces Finalists for 20th Annual Codie Awards Number of Finalist Nominations Breaks All-time Record WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, today released its list of finalists for the 20th Annual Codie Awards. Established in 1986, the Codie Awards is the longest-running awards program in the software and information industry. The program acknowledges the industry's most innovative products and services through a combination of journalist and peer review. The Codie Awards showcase the software and digital content industry's most innovative products and services and commend corporate excellence and philanthropic efforts. More than 1,000 nominations were submitted by over 800 companies for the 2005 awards, breaking the record set in 2004. This year's 331 Codie Awards finalists span a wide cross section of the software and digital content industry. The program includes 63 product and service categories in the corporate, education and consumer markets.
