Emmy winner and PROMAX Hall of Fame member Miller, the longtime head of advertising and promotion for NBC and co-president of The NBC Agency, was named Chief Marketing Officer for the NBC Universal Television Group in May 2004. Miller has oversight for all marketing initiatives and cross-promotional opportunities for NBC Universal Television Studios, NBC Universal Television Distribution, NBC Entertainment, NBC News, NBC Sports, Telemundo, Bravo, USA Network, SCI FI, Trio, MSNBC, CNBC and Universal Studios Networks. Further, he co-chairs the marketing council for the full company, NBC Universal, with Universal Pictures Vice Chairman Marc Shmuger. Prior to his position as Chief Marketing Officer of NBC Universal Television Group, Miller was president of the NBC Agency since November 1999. In that position, he and his longtime partner and co-president, Vince Manze, oversaw the television industry's first full-service advertising agency-an award-winning in-house unit that quickly established itself as one of the country's top creative commercial firms. Under Miller and Manze's direction, the NBC Agency built on the NBC Advertising & Promotion Department's long tradition of being a television industry leader and trendsetter with innovative marketing, promotion and branding concepts, and campaigns.
