GSN Partners With the My Sony(TM) Service for First of Its Kind Viewer Loyalty Program 'GSN Rewards Powered by My Sony(TM)' Viewers Play Along Interactively with GSN Programming to Earn Points Redeemable for Savings on Products at My Sony(TM) National On-Air Campaign to Launch the Week of January 17 SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- GSN, the Network for Games, today announced the launch of GSN Rewards Powered by My Sony(TM). This is a new loyalty program designed to give viewers the chance to earn My Sony(TM) points toward savings on Sony products and services, as well as exclusive GSN merchandise by playing along interactively with the network's programming via GSN.com. The program will be supported by a one year branded on-air campaign unveiled in conjunction with the network's January 21 premiere of the new Casino Night prime-time program block featuring WORLD SERIES OF BLACKJACK and POKER ROYALE: BATTLE OF THE SEXES. Additionally, from January 21 thru February 25 the new programming night will include a special $1000 per week sweepstakes. GSN.com will also offer an auction in conjunction with the premiere of AMERICAN DREAM DERBY. There, GSN Rewards members can bid on a VIP weekend that includes a trip to Los Angeles to watch the taping of the live finale at Santa Anita Park and a live concert and meet and greet with special guest star LeAnn Rimes on February 21. Advertisers on the network will have the unique opportunity to share in the rewards process by showcasing their products to millions of GSN Rewards members through the use of special offers and product sampling. GSN Rewards members can earn points by simply clicking on the advertisements featured on the rewards page. There are also cross-promotional opportunities for advertisers with other My Sony(TM) awards clubs. The program will also provide sponsors with data on how members are interacting with their advertisements and special offers. GSN will offer cable operators the opportunity to benefit from this initiative as well. The network will create a program that targets members by their zip codes. Members who opt in will receive a local offer via ad banner or email encouraging them to purchase broadband or other cable sales priorities. GSN Rewards members will be awarded points for clicking on the banners and offers. Finally, members can redeem points for Cable Cash in the GSN Rewards Central catalogue, which they can use to purchase Pay Per View movies or use towards their cable bills. How To Play Players register at GSN.com for the program at no cost, earning 1,000 points for signing up plus double points during their first month of membership. As a member, players can earn points per game simply by watching GSNi programming and using their home computers to play interactively. To make it simple for viewers, all GSNi programming will have its own on-air logo to indicate that the show can be played interactively. Viewers can use either a broadband or a dial-up connection to play any of the current GSNi games by downloading a Shockwave player. The same Shockwave player works for all GSNi programs. Interactive shows include WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE, WIN BEN STEIN'S MONEY and POKER ROYALE, among a host of others. GSNi games are active only when the shows are airing and viewers must be able to see and/or hear their TV to play. There are other ways to earn points.
