Verizon Wireless Holds 'Kids in Need Holiday Drive' Wrap-Up Party at South Station
Verizon Wireless Holds 'Kids in Need Holiday Drive' Wrap-Up Party at South Station MBCR Engineer to Sing Carols and Present Check to Home for Little Wanderers WHO: Verizon Wireless, South Station, MBCR Engineers, Aerobloks, and The Home for Little Wanderers. WHAT: Commuters going in and out of South Station the last few weeks have donated new, unwrapped toys, games, and books to the 4th Annual Verizon Wireless 'Kids In Need Holiday Drive' to benefit children living in local domestic violence shelters and The Home for Little Wanderers. To show its appreciation for the strong community spirit, South Station and Verizon Wireless present a return gift: holiday music performed by engineer Rodney Dias and the other engineers who assist commuters in getting to and from their destinations every day. The engineers will perform in the middle of the South Station concourse in front of a colorful wall of Aerobloks, created exclusively for the event by Tinker Minds of Lexington. A highlight will be a check presentation made to The Home for Little Wanderers by the MBCR engineers from the sale of a CD titled, "A Christmas To Remember 2004," featuring music performed by MBCR engineers. The donation of the proceeds from the CD is in addition to nearly 20 boxes of toys collected at South Station and delivered to The Home for Little Wanderers on Tuesday.
