Musictech Students Get Lessons From the Supreme Icon

Musictech Students Get Lessons From the Supreme Icon ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Musictech College is still buzzing from the appearance of music legend Diana Ross on their stage the night before her concert in the Twin Cities. "I actually don't remember ever not believing in myself," Ross told students who attend the American popular music college. "I believe that life is a journey and there will always be challenges. You're supposed to learn from those challenges and recover and move forward. Hopefully then you will be able to teach someone something from that." Delivering on their promise that "experience is the best teacher," the college coordinated an intimate workshop with the music luminary and gave their students the rare opportunity to speak one-on-one with the most successful female artist of all-time. Before the workshop, Ms. Ross dedicated a full-ride Diana Ross performance scholarship in her name, which will be awarded annually to the best student performer through an audition process, starting fall of 2005. Ms. Ross was excited to share her knowledge of the industry and hoped her insights would help the students guide their careers. "It was such a privilege that Ms. Ross took time out of her busy touring schedule to conduct a workshop for our students," said Jack McNally, President, Musictech College. "She is one of the biggest stars that the music industry has ever seen and she provided our students with an experience they will never forget."
