15 Year Old Reaches Goal of Sending a Million Letters to the Troops; Meets With the President at White House SAN DIEGO, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Shauna Fleming, 15, a freshman at Lutheran High School in Orange, California, reached her ambitious goal to send one million thank you letters supporting the troops overseas. Shauna presented the one-millionth letter to President Bush in the Oval Office on November 17. Although she has reached her goal, she is extending the campaign's goal to 1.4 million letters, which represents all members of the military on active duty. Shauna credits many of her hardworking classmates and volunteers, her web site, www.amillionthanks.org and her Internet radio talk show, "A Million Thanks Radio with host Shauna Fleming." The show is produced and broadcast around the globe by San Diego Internet radio network www.wsRadio.com. A Million Thanks Radio streams live via the Internet and is archived for listening on demand 24/7. A Million Thanks Radio also reaches the troops overseas who have Internet access and audio capabilities. Since airing her first show, Shauna has received valuable feedback from the troops overseas. To combat boredom, the troops have requested music CDs and DVDs. In response to their request, Shauna is also collecting used music CDs and DVDs to send along with the letters.
