The American Law Journal Honored with Four 2016 Emmy® Nominations in the Mid-Atlantic Region

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Law Journal television program garnered four Emmy® nominations for the second consecutive year, with episodes covering equal protection under the law, workplace rights and criminal justice.

Three nominations were in the categories interview discussion specials/series and one in historic/cultural program feature segment.

The programs are:

-- "Wage, Hour and Overtime: What's 'Fair Pay' Today?"
-- "Transgender at Work: The EEOC, Supreme Court and LGBT Rights on the
Job"
-- "Liberty, Justice and ... Gay Marriage for All States?"
Executive Producer and host Christopher Naughton, Producer Valerie Jones, Director of Production Andrew Schaeffer and Feature Reporter Gina Passarella Cipriani received four nominations; Director Joel Keeler was honored with three.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Mid-Atlantic Region announced the nominations Tuesday, August 9 at simultaneous Emmy® events. In 2015, The American Law Journal took home the Emmy® statuette for employment discrimination programming.

Emmy® winners will be announced September 24 at a gala awards ceremony in Philadelphia.
