The Uptown Art Fair also offers a variety of events and activities, including:

Film at the Fair
On Friday, Aug. 5, at 8:45 p.m., the Uptown Art Fair is partnering with the Film Society of Minneapolis St. Paul for the inaugural "Film at the Fair" - a free screening of "The Wizard of Oz" at the outdoor parking lot at Girard Avenue and Lake Street.

Charitable Partners Tent
The Uptown Association has selected five local non-profits to be featured at the Uptown Art Fair - Art Buddies, Community Connections Partnership, Firefly Sisterhood, Good in the Hood and Rain Taxi. Each non-profit will be onsite all three days of the fair, offering visitors family-friendly activities.

Evening Acts at the Performance Stage
Art fair guests can enjoy everything from dance troupes to indie rock to pop bands on the performance stage presented by GO 96.3. Two acts will headline evening performances, Twin Cities reggae band Dred I Dread on Friday, Aug. 5, at 6 p.m., and national act The Unlikely Candidates on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 6 p.m. Performance stage guests can enjoy the Summit Beer Garden, just a few feet away.

Youth Art Fair
Celebrating its 12(th) year, the 2016 Youth Art Fair features more artists than ever before. Located inside Calhoun Square, the event brings together artists between the ages of 8 and 18. Works include everything from sculptures and paintings to photography and jewelry. The Youth Art Fair will take place Saturday, Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kitchen Window Culinary Arts Competition
Now in its fifth year, Twin Cities' chefs and artists battle for culinary supremacy in the Culinary Arts Competition sponsored by Kitchen Window and presented by The Seward Community Co-Op. Teams consisting of one chef and one artist will each receive three mandatory ingredients, along with a secret ingredient, which they must use to create both a dish and a piece of art within a 30-minute time frame. Judges will crown the winners on Sunday.
