Argos Pictures Completes National Theatrical Distribution Agreement with Dalton Pictures for "Live Another Day"

National theatrical release date set for Sept. 16, 2016

LOS ANGELES, July 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Argos Pictures and Dalton Pictures have finalized an agreement for a national theatrical release of the provocative feature-length documentary "Live Another Day."

Based on the highly acclaimed book "Crash Course" by Pulitzer Prize-Winner Paul Ingrassia, "Live Another Day" reveals for the first time the unvarnished truth behind the collapse of General Motors and Chrysler and the controversial and much-debated governmental intervention that led to the rescue of these companies.

"This film is truly phenomenal and it is a tremendous public service to the American moviegoers able to see it," said Jerry Dalton, president of Dalton Pictures. "If you thought you knew what went on during the auto bailout, think again. 'Live Another Day' goes behind-the-scenes to reveal the inner workings of big businesses and the government during the high-stake days at the dawn of the Great Recession. Co-directors Didier Pietri and Bill Burke expose a remarkable story in a compelling way and the timing of this documentary release could not be better."

"After three years of research and more than 75 hours of interviews with the major players involved with dramatic events surrounding the urgent, 11(th)-hour U.S. automotive bailout, we are pleased to present 'Live Another Day' to a wide audience," said Didier Pietri, the film's co-director and co-founder of Argos Pictures.

"Live Another Day" picks up where "The Big Short" left off, showing how the housing crisis and Lehman Brothers collapse led directly to the auto industry's downfall. In this jaw-dropping and revealing film about the remarkable behind-the-scenes events of the auto bailout, the complete scenario is described by the key players themselves: car company CEOs, the United Automotive Workers President, senior members of President Obama's automotive task force, bankers, journalists, analysts, former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, Tennessee Senator Bob Corker and even world-renowned car aficionado Jay Leno.

"When we saw Jerry Dalton's enthusiastic reaction to what we had created, we knew that Dalton Pictures was the perfect distribution partner for us," added co-director Bill Burke.

The film includes an original soundtrack as well as songs by Aretha Franklin, Foreigner, John Hiatt, The Temptations, Mick Jagger and James Brown.
