Celebrating a Summer of Music with Nationwide Jazz Festivals

The much anticipated jazz festivals, sponsored by TD, feature musically diverse headliners including Sarah McLachlan, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Gregory Porter, Oliver Jones Trio and more

TORONTO, June 16, 2016 /CNW/ - For the 13(th) year in a row, TD Bank Group celebrates music as the sponsor of jazz festivals across Canada, welcoming world-class musicians, critically acclaimed jazz artists and rising stars to perform for communities and share their love of music.

This year's lineups will showcase culturally and musically diverse programming including jazz, blues, folk, R&B, gospel and more, featuring some of Canada's most recognized artists and musicians. TD's ongoing commitment to Canada's music scene brings these exciting festivals to Winnipeg, Ottawa, Saskatchewan, Toronto, Victoria, Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax and Calgary.

This year, TD welcomes headlining talent among the jazz festival lineups, including songwriter, rapper and record producer Ms. Lauryn Hill (Fugees) and Canadian music icon Sarah McLachlan. Also scheduled to perform are some of the most established jazz musicians in the industry including Joe Jackson, Gregory Porter, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Michael Franti & Spearhead and Oliver Jones Trio.

Shining a spotlight on rising stars, the festivals offer workshops for musicians to learn new skills and free concerts for the public to introduce young talent and student performers to their communities.
