Aquafina® Launches First-Ever Film Partnership with the Release of 20th Century Fox's Ice Age: Collision Course
New campaign features a chance to win a trip to Kennedy Space Center, custom TV spot and more
PURCHASE, N.Y., June 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Aquafina announced the brand's first-ever film partnership of the upcoming summer release, Ice Age: Collision Course. In conjunction with the highly anticipated movie, which hits theaters on July 22(nd), Aquafina will roll out a custom TV spot and a national consumer sweepstakes, along with engaging retail and digital initiatives.
Beginning June 12(th), consumers across the country can enter for a chance to win a trip for two families of four to the legendary Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida, where they will have an unforgettable Astronaut Training Experience®. Over the course of a three day trip, a winning family will receive a VIP experience touring an active launch facility, seeing the real Space Shuttle Atlantis, meeting a veteran NASA astronaut and participate in a 5-hour hands-on training designed with NASA approved content. They'll use state-of-the-art simulators and technology to master the art of space travel - and unlike Ice Age character Scrat - they won't put Planet Earth at risk! To enter, consumers can simply text "AQUAFINA" to 73774.
"We are thrilled to partner with Aquafina and Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and feel the brands are a natural fit for the film," said Zachary Eller, SVP, Marketing Partnerships, 20(th) Century Fox. "Like Ice Age: Collision Course, Aquafina is sure to be a summer favorite!"
Starting July 4(th), Aquafina will also debut a national custom animated TV commercial featuring Ice Age's beloved and acorn-obsessed character, Scrat, chasing a just out-of-reach Aquafina bottle. Additionally, throughout the duration of the campaign, limited edition Aquafina packaging featuring characters Scrat, Sid, Diego, along with new characters Shangri-llama and Brooke will be available for purchase in stores nationwide.
The Aquafina brand's social channels will also have engaging custom content during the course of the campaign where fans can see Scrat and the Herd surprising happy bodies across the nation with their happy body dance moves.
"We are excited to celebrate the launch of Ice Age: Collision Course by teaming up with 20(th) Century Fox for the brand's first-ever film partnership," said Sadira Furlow, senior brand director, Aquafina. "The entertaining and lighthearted thematic of the film is a great complement to the feel good moments we embrace with our 'Aquafina For Happy Bodies' mission.
