TORONTO, June 15, 2016 /CNW/ - As the premiere of CTV's THE AMAZING RACE CANADA gets closer, CTV announced this morning on CTV.ca, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat the second set of teams to compete in television's race of a lifetime.
-- Julie and Lowell, a married couple battling Lowell's debilitating eye
disease Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) from Lethbridge, Alta.;
-- Anne and Tanya, best friends, single moms, and business partners from
Toronto;
-- Stéphane and Antoine, an intellectual and driven father-son duo from
Montréal.
For more on today's team reveals, viewers can tune in this morning to THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW and ETALK next week. To date, seven teams have been announced for the exciting upcoming season of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA. CTV will announce the final group of racers tomorrow on CTV.ca as well as on THE AMAZING RACE CANADA's social media accounts. Tomorrow's newly announced teams will be featured on THE SOCIAL as well as on ETALK leading up to the premiere. Following the final team announcements, the official Season 4 group photo will be released by @CTV_PR. Season 4 THE AMAZING RACE CANADA airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, beginning June 28 on CTV and CTV GO.

Last year, Season 3 of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA was the most-watched program of the summer for the third straight year, with an average audience of 2.6 million viewers each week. The series is also the most-watched Canadian television show on record.
This year, the winners of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA will take home $250,000 cash and their choice of any Chevrolet vehicle driven during the race. Additionally, Hotels.com will provide hotel accommodations for a once-in-a-lifetime trip for two around the world. Each Leg Prize (which is awarded to the first place team for that leg of the race) is also provided by Hotels.com. The Leg Prize includes a five-night stay at a pre-determined exotic destination.
Season 4 is back with brand new teams and exciting, nail-biting challenges. This all-new season has all the non-stop, action-packed adventure viewers have grown to love, as the racers travel across Canada and beyond in the hopes of being the last team standing. Hosted by Olympic Gold Medallist Jon Montgomery (@jonmonty), the series pits 10 fresh teams, each comprised of two members with a pre-existing relationship, against each other in the biggest race Canada's has ever seen.
