Festival recognized as a major contributor to New York's cultural diversity

NEW YORK, April 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- 9.8 Group announced a sponsorship of the of the Inaugural Piano Competition at the 8th Annual New York Piano Festival, to be held in New York in June 2016.

Founded in 2009, the New York Piano Festival is a major contributor to the cultural diversity of the New York music scene. It attracts American and international participants of different cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic background and encourages them to share their heritage with the judges and the audience through music.

Starting this year, the Festival added a Piano Competition that gives a chance to aspiring musicians to present in a diverse, inclusive, friendly and supportive atmosphere, all in the heart of New York City. The competition will be judged by a prestigious jury panel and culminate in a Gala Concert and Award Ceremony at the Carnegie Hall.
