LiveList Launches Live, Linear Programming with New Channels Feature

SXSW and Ultra Music Festivals Among First Channels Available

VENICE, Calif., March 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- LiveList, the ultimate guide to discovering live streaming concerts, today announced the launch of Channels to give fans an even more immersive experience through live, linear programming. Channels are live music playlists based around genres, festivals, venues and brands, that fluidly integrate live tent-pole concerts with recorded video shoulder content.

Channels allow music fans to add multiple live concerts to their personalized playlist of shows they want to get notified about. Whenever someone adds a channel to his or her LiveList, all of the live shows within that channel are automatically added to his or her list of shows they want to watch.

There are over 55,000 concerts streaming live every year in all different genres - from classical to electronic - but often the fan doesn't have context around the live event. Channels offer a way to easily navigate to music they enjoy and immerse themselves in the live experience.

Among the first channels will be the SXSW Channel, the music, film and technology festival held in Austin, Texas, and the Ultra Channel, an electronic music festival out of Miami, Fla. All live music performances streaming from those festivals will be added into their respective channels for fans to access. Other official premiere channels include: AudioTree, Coachella, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Red Rocks and Live for Live Music.

All channels are also shareable and embeddable across social networks as well as blogs and other websites.
