A series that inspires children to make positive changes to help heal the planet

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Planet Blue is a new 3D-animated TV series that brings serious environmental issues to light, appealing to its viewers with the time-honored cartoon principles of laughter and heart-pounding adventures. It was made for children as a way of instilling respect for planet Earth at a young age, but can be enjoyed by everyone. The 12-episode first season covers a multitude of environmental issues facing the planet's rainforests and oceans today, while maintaining a positive, pro-active attitude towards teaching the importance of sustainability for all of Earth's inhabitants.

SYNOPSIS:

Planet Blue and Sunny Sun, animated characters based on planet Earth and the Sun, are the main Stars and Narrators of the series. They educate four young children about the environmental issues that the planet faces, and work with the children to discover solutions.

At the outset of each adventure, the children step into the Planet Blue Vortex to become Planet Blue Savers, magically transforming from live-action actors to computer-animated cartoon characters. Each half-hour episode spotlights a new region of the world and explores ways the children and viewers can help Planet Blue become a better place to live.

"The Planet Blue Series is not about placing blame, but about making proactive choices now and into the future. The show's focus is on solving environmental problems by making positive changes while creating productive and respectful dialogue with others. Children who watch it will become more aware and develop skills that empower them to make a difference. We firmly believe that this compassion-oriented approach is the key to instilling not only Planet Blue's educational values, but the further-reaching values that will enable our children to lead the way into tomorrow," explains the series creator, Victoria Lauren.
