JEMTEC Awarded Nova Scotia Correctional Services Contract

VANCOUVER, Feb. 22, 2016 /CNW/ - JEMTEC Inc. (TSX-V: JTC) ("JEMTEC" or the "Company") the leading provider of integrated technology systems for community based corrections in Canada, has been selected to provide offender monitoring services for the Nova Scotia Department of Justice, Correctional Services (Correctional Services). This contract award follows a structured competitive procurement process involving detailed technical and pricing considerations. The Contract will include GPS, Radio Frequency and Voice Verification services to start.
The initial contract has a three (3) year term with an option for two (2) additional two (2) year extensions selectable by Correctional Services for a possible seven (7) year term. The awarded value of the contract based on Correctional Services internal budgeting for the initial 3-year period is $936,000. Jemtec cautions this is a budget value and actual revenues will depend on factors such as the type and amount of technology in use to meet Correctional Services needs.
