Female Driven TV/Movie Franchise : Anna Wilding snaps up Castle TV/Movie Rights; Rose Ganguzza Climbs Aboard
NEW YORK, Feb. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --The world is screaming out for female directors and female driven story lines. Anna Wilding, of Carpe Diem Films, LLC, award winning actress/director/writer/producer, snatched up the rights to the female driven spy novel series, Castle, written by award winning weather anchor and author, TD Cochran. New York producer Rose Ganguzza, whose son, Antonio Campos, is setting Sundance alight with, Christine, starring Rebecca Hall, jumped on board with Ms. Wilding to develop the project. Carpe Diem retains all movie, TV, and ancillary rights. T.D Cochran retains the book publishing rights with a first right of refusal to Carpe Diem Films, LLC for all publishing. The entire deal was completed within a week by attorney Kirk Schroder (Hustle and Flow).
Anna Wilding Award winning Actress, Director, Producer, Screenwriter, Consultant and former Hollywood and British film executive. Worked on major hit box office motions pictures and hit feature docs from Lord of the Rings through to mainstream indie fare such as Buddha Wild. Buddha Wild (buddhawildfilm.com) played for combined length of over 60 days in cinemas- a first for a female, director, producer, writer, camera and star. Ms. Wilding was called, "The Queen of the Independents," for her work in independent feature films during a period when the indies were the mainstay of studio fare and carried the industry. In addition to comprehensive experience in traditional motion picture and television industries Ms Wilding has been at the forefront of digital media. As a feature film executive Ms Wilding has worked with the most known projects and talent in the world. Currently enjoying a stint as White House Correspondent.
Rose Ganguzza Known for her recent hit, Kill Your Darlings, starring Daniel Radcliffe. Other films include Afterschool by her son, (current 2016 Sundance favorite Antonio Campos for his film starring Rebecca Hall, Christine,) Margin Call (JC Chandor), The Guitar (Amy Redford). Besides feature films, Rose made documentaries Blue Gold, Trashed, New York at the Movies) and she is in pre-production on the two-part television biopic, Heidy, starring Diane Kruger.
T.D Cochran - Author Employed as an award winning weather anchor for ABC and FOX. Dave is an avid sailor, a licensed pilot, and competes in 100-mile bicycle races. He received the Colorado Association of Broadcaster's Best Newscast Award. In 2014 & 2015 Dave won the E.B. Craney Television Weathercaster of the Year Award.
