DAVE School's Saham Ali Inducted as a Member of the Visual Effects Society

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Saham Ali, IT Director of the Digital Arts and Visual Effects (DAVE) School, was recently inducted as a member of the Visual Effects Society (VES), the entertainment industry's premier organization representing visual effects practitioners worldwide. This includes artists, technologists, model makers, educators and studio executives.

Ali's career spans over a decade and includes credits as a visual effects artist in TV series like "Hawaii Five-0" and "Captain Scarlett", a British show that took him to London for a year. He is a 2002 graduate of the DAVE School, located on the backlot of Universal Studios. His work can also be seen in "Undercovers", "The Return of Pink 5", "Star Trek: New Voyages", "A Christmas Village" and "Red Tails" for Lucasfilm. Most recently, Ali completed work on Kevin Smith's "Tusk". He also collaborated on the first 20-minute, 3D building projection for "Mickey's Spooktacular Celebration" at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

Ali has worked at his alma mater for more than 10 years. He is responsible for directing the inner workings of technology behind CG. Additionally, he is a regular lecturer on 3-D printing/3-D IO Technologies and its many applications on film production.
