Art Van Furniture will take to the airwaves in Detroit and Grand Rapids during Sunday's big football game to thank Michiganians for their generous donations of 400 tons of bottled water to date in response to the water crisis in Flint, as well as announce the company's expanded collection efforts. The Midwest's No. 1 furniture retailer will replace its Art Van PureSleep 'Rise' sixty-second television commercial which was scheduled to air during the telecast with a message from David Van Elslander, vice president of Art Van Furniture and president of Art Van PureSleep.

The water is being distributed to residents in need through Flint-based Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties.
