Final Data Confirms 2.1 Million Viewers say "Hello" to CTV's ADELE LIVE IN LONDON

TORONTO, Dec. 10, 2015 /CNW/ - As her new album 25 continues to make history, final data from Numeris confirms that CTV's November 25(th) broadcast of ADELE LIVE IN LONDON is the most-watched entertainment special since February with 2.1 million viewers. The North American Exclusive special reached 5.3 million Canadians on CTV, and in all, over one in five English Canadians watching TV that night tuned into the special. ADELE LIVE IN LONDON also had people talking on Twitter with an estimated 2.3 million impressions**.

After making history by becoming the fastest-selling album in a single week, Nielsen also confirmed that 25 is the only album since they began tracking sales in 1991 to sell at least 1 million copies in two separate weeks. The album also set a new one-week record in Canada the last week of November, which was previously set by Celine Dion's Let's Talk About Love in 1997. The album's first hit single "Hello" also quickly climbed the charts across Bell Media radio stations as one of the fastest-rising songs ever on its weekly countdowns.

ADELE LIVE IN LONDON was filmed in front of a live audience and showcased performances of classic tracks as well as songs from 25. Adele also chatted with host Graham Norton (THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW) about her career and life to date.
