Discoverability Summit to be held May 10-11, 2016

GATINEAU, QC and MONTREAL, Dec. 3, 2015 /CNW/ - Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC)/National Film Board of Canada (NFB)

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), in collaboration with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), are announcing that the Discoverability Summit will take place May 10-11, 2016, in Toronto.

En Route events
The CRTC and the NFB held two pre-events to kick-start the conversation on the discoverability of audiovisual content on December 1(st) in Vancouver and December 3(rd) in Montreal. The En route to the Discoverability Summit: Content in the Age of Abundance events were live streamed and gathered experts from a variety of fields. Preliminary ideas and strategies were brought to the table and will be explored further at the Discoverability Summit in 2016.

The Discoverability Summit
On May 10-11, 2016, the CRTC and the NFB will host the Discoverability Summit. This will be a unique and authoritative event that will enable participants to discuss strategies, tools and approaches to improve the discoverability of content and to make it easier for viewers to find the content that they want. Attendance will be by invitation as there are a limited number of seats.
