TORONTO, Nov. 16, 2015 /CNW/ - With less than a week to go until THE AMAZING RACE CANADA Season 4 casting deadline, the countdown is on for the chance to compete in the biggest race this country has ever seen. With stakes this big, wannabe THE AMAZING RACE CANADA competitors need to really "bring it" - and it all starts with an attention-grabbing audition video. To help point hopeful racers in the right direction, the @CTV_PR team sat down with Mark Lysakowski, the series' Showrunner and Supervising Producer, to find out how fans can get noticed ahead of the Season 4 casting deadline on Monday, Nov., 23 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Here are Mark's Top 5 Audition Tips:

1. Be Yourself
"We're looking for an entirely new cast, not the same personalities as in previous seasons," says Lysakowski. "So just showcase why YOU are amazing!" Applicants do not need to have a special "extraordinary" story to apply. All Canadians are encouraged to give it a shot - come one, come all!"

2. Speak Up!
Lysakowski says that racers tell their own stories on THE AMAZING RACE CANADA. "It's essential to know they can articulate and talk with some energy," he says. There's no shortage of intensity HERE in this Season 3 highlight pack.

3. Pick the Right Partner
Lysakowski also points out that no one wins the Race alone - hopeful racers have to choose the right partner in order to make it first to the final mat. "It's important that you choose someone that you know very well and will give you support or tough love as needed," he says. Season 3 exes Dujean Williams and Leilani Ross offer each other some loving support in this clip HERE.

4. Be Proudly Canadian
Lysakowski adds that applicants should be unabashedly Canadian. "Be sure to share where in Canada you're from and represent!" he says. "Tell us what makes your hometown an advantage for you on the Race." Click HERE to see how Season 3 racer and Winnipeg-native Cynthia Boyd made her father proud. O Canada!

5. Want to Win?
Finally, and certainly not least, teams must be confident they can beat out all the other teams and have a great reason to win. "Don't be shy... strut your stuff," says Lysakowski. "Proclaim that you're a winning team and tell us why." There is no better feeling than being team #1, as our Season 3 racers display HERE.

Auditioning for THE AMAZING RACE CANADA is simple! Here's how:

Take an up-close picture of the team, as well as an up-close picture of each individual, and send with the application online.

Step 3

Completely fill out the online application (one per team) and upload the video and photos at CTV.ca/TheAmazingRaceCanada.

If the producers like the audition, they will be in touch! Among the eligibility requirements that applicants should note about the Race:
