Prince William's NGO, Tusk, Discusses Terrorism and Ivory at Screening of Warlords of Ivory Documentary

NEW YORK, Nov. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Monday, November 16(th), Tusk hosted a screening of the National Geographic documentary Explorers: Warlords of Ivory in NYC. The groundbreaking film captivated the audience as it proved without a doubt that the ivory trade is funding some of the world most notorious terrorists. The message of the evening - that conservation is a global issue and demands our attention -- was incredibly powerful in the wake of the Paris attacks.

Tusk is working with local conservation partners to stop the illegal wildlife trade and provide alternative sources of income for the people of Africa. On Monday night one thing was clear - protecting elephants has never been more important.

Over the last 40 years, the world's wildlife population has decreased by more than half and some of the planet's most iconic species are on the brink of extinction.
