TORONTO, Aug. 2, 2015 /CNW/ - At approximately 5:00pm on Sunday August 2, we experienced a severe weather alert at Veld Music Festival at Downsview Park.

Due to approaching high winds, lightning and hail storms, we made the proactive decision to engage our safety protocol and evacuate the site. The safety of our patrons is our number one priority.

We will notify the media as soon as additional information is available and verified.
