Industry Dance Awards Announces Hosts and Honorees for August 19th Ceremony

LOS ANGELES, July 22, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The 2015 Industry Dance Awards and Cancer Benefit Show is proud to announce this year's ceremony hosts and celebrity honorees. Taking place August 19(th) at Avalon Hollywood, the show will be led by The Insider correspondent Keltie Knight and returning MC Robert Hoffman (Step Up 2: The Streets).

The event, once again benefiting Dancers Against Cancer & Circle of Hope Dance Foundation, celebrates the passion and artistry of dance while bringing together performers, dancers, teachers and industry innovators to aid in the fight against cancer. The red carpet event will feature a lineup of special guest performances and the Circle of Hope Presentation - giving financial assistance to those in need in the dance community. 2015 Circle of Hope Recipients are Valory Newton, Olivia Lear, Helena Hosch, Kaila Atapovich, Alexa Robertson, Eularee Smith and Chole Frank.

Award categories featured are Best Hip-Hop Performance, Best Jazz Performance, Best Open/Ballet/Acro, Best Tap, Best Lyrical, Best Novelty/Musical, People's Choice, and Choreography of the year. Celebrity honorees include: Lifetime Achievement Award RecipientRita Moreno (West Side Story), Innovator Award RecipientMia Michaels (Choreographer), Dance Icon Award Recipient Vincent Paterson (Choreographer), Role Model Award RecipientCarrie Ann Inaba (Dancing With the Stars), New Media Influencer Award RecipientIan Eastwood (Dancer/Choreographer), Breakthrough Performer Award Recipient Vanessa Hudgens (Gigi), and Dance Trailblazer Award RecipientMisty Copeland (American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer).
