Explosion of Light on The Arts Put on a Show at the Garden at Montréal Space for Life

MONTRÉAL, July 20, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Our The Arts Put on a Showat the Garden event has been tremendously popular since it started earlier this summer! And it's on every weekend until August 30. That's right, Montréal Space for Life is giving artists a place in the sun all summer long. In the midst of a brilliant succession of blooms, we're taking inspiration from the International Year of Light to offer our visitors experiences combining science, art and emotion. At the Botanical Garden, among the fabulous blooms or under the willows, talented artists are generously sharing their passion for music.

The program, designed by Charles Dauphinais, artistic director for The Arts Put on a Show at the Garden, encourages visitors to enjoy the beauty of the gardens around them as they listen to lovely melodies. On August 23, legendary jazzman Oliver Jones will present an absolutely delightful Centre Stage concert.

Every Saturday and Sunday, the Aquatic Garden and the Garden of Innovations will be filled with the sweet strains of tango, world and classical music. You can stretch out in the shade of the willows near the Japanese Garden and let the artists whisk you off into their universe. The month of August is bound to be filled with light and music at Montréal Space for Life.

The art of enjoying your entire day

Montréal Space for Life is marking the International Year of Light with its program all year long. You can extend the pleasure with a series of delightful immersive experiences:


-- Until August 30, at the Insectarium, become Bearers of Light and learn
to communicate like a firefly by creating a surprising sound and light
show.
-- Until September 7, at the Biodôme, be among the first to meet the young
sloth and his mother in the Nature's Slowpokes habitat, designed to
encourage you to slow down to their speed and enjoy a relaxing break
with them.
-- Starting July 7, at the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium, the new double
feature is bound to illuminate you. Dark Universe: Voyage to the Heart
of Dark Matter explores the origins of the cosmos, proving the existence
of dark matter and dark energy, and Pluto: Chronicles of an Ex-Planet,
an all-new Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium production, focuses on the
fascinating dwarf planet that the New Horizons probe will be passing
this summer.
